For over seven years, The Well has created space for moms to work, heal, rest, and belong — all while staying close to their children. As a San Diego nonprofit, we partner with businesses and community leaders to remove barriers to childcare, employment, and stability for women and families.
Why This Work Matters
Across San Diego (and our country), too many mothers face impossible choices between caring for their children and pursuing work, education, or financial stability. The lack of affordable childcare, supportive work environments, and meaningful community keeps too many women from moving forward.
At The Well, we exist to make another way possible.
Who We Serve
The women and families to come to The Well are navigating:
The demands of work, school, and caregiving
Limited access to affordable childcare
Transitions out of crisis, including domestic violence, homelessness, or instability
The isolation that so often accompanies motherhood
The Well is a safe, welcoming community where moms can grow professionally and personally — without being separated from their children.
Community Outreach
At The Well, we believe that helping others is an essential part of life.
We want to teach our children that they are never too small to serve their community. We can all do something! See the resources below for opportunities in our city where you and your family can help.
Serve the homeless in our community with your whole family! Collect clothing items to donate and help bring dignity to the hurting and broken in our city.
Support foster and adoptive families to provide immediate help and hope for families in the foster care system.
